There has been a huge amount of attention places on a site today. Because that site removed their surf timer.
Opinions going each way have said their part. Loud and clear.
Some people are huge fans others not so much. Breaking this down there is positives and negatives from pretty much all sides. Yes the idea of no surf timer is different.
I can’t remember the site off the top of my head but the icons appeared after the site loaded. That was the timer. (memory is going faster than I would like to admit)
Rate My Splash a traffic exchange with no timer. Its been around for about a year (02-25-2012) the idea was to have people vote on what they think about the webpage on a scale from one to ten. Then they can move on to the next site.
The Major difference this was the pretense of the system – no one took a classic traffic exchange and then removed the timer – Rate my splash was designed from day one not to have a timer and work in any traffic exchange.
Is having no timer new – no
Can removing the timer be innovation – no
Will some member feel screwed over cause what once took them 7 to 12 seconds to earn now can be earned in less than a second- Maybe
this Blog post was just for fun – and remind people how big the traffic exchange industry is if you don’t like something walk away and if you do, use it. But do some homework and make sure that the “new and innovative” it is actually that.
People trying to make changes good or bad have a tough uphill battle. Not everything I have ever done is New or innovative ( what!) but then again I never claimed I invented it or it was new innovative .
Competition is all around us I welcome the site that dropped their surf timer to the world of change but just as a thought you might just want to take care of the people that surfed when there was a timer.
And that is my traffic exchange 2 cents
