Its Friday and I am sitting here trying to think of what content I want to add to the Friday Wrap UP.
I am a huge fan of the traffic exchange business. and the start to the new year is already off to a great start. I want to get back to my roots a little cause I love doing video and I fell off the wagon a lot.
Noting forced just turning the cam on when I have an actual thought in my head.
So here is the first Video Blog of the new year
And I hope to see you at the Wrap Up tonight at 9PM EST every Friday
This no soda thing is not fun!
And that is my traffic exchange 2 cents,
I have been thinking about a Friday Wrap Up a few weeks ago. The topic was about results.
What are results? Are people getting results from traffic exchanges?
lets break down the results that came from the collective of 30+ traffic exchange users/owners.
Here is some results from Surfing a traffic exchange.
Surfing for credits. The result is the credits and the fact that the time spent surfing is an exchange for marketing.
Networking is a result of interacting with other members from an exchange. Its done in chats in skype clicking on profiles ect. The result is connecting with people that are finding results.
New Opportunities or programs
Surfing any traffic exchange you will see programs/ websites. But from time to time you will see something new or interesting.
Concepts / Ideas
looking at ad concepts, CSS, tips tricks some times its colors working together. Some times to get creative juices flowing surfing is just what the dr. ordered.
text credits – banner credits – credits – cash – referrals – physical products. All prizes found in surfing this seems to be one of the most sought after result. At this time.
OLD school classic results
referrals – earning commissions building your downlines all still great to have too.
I guess the point of this blog post is to show that the focus has changed. But results are still there in some cases they have changed or evolved. Why do you surf? My guess is it will always make its way back to results.
Happy New year and keep your focus. Just drive forward.
And that is my traffic exchange 2 cents,
Need traffic to your website Discover IT
I love the traffic exchange business. I always like to start of a blog post when I have something I want to say.
Think of this business as the sandbox at the local playground on the world wide web. You have some people that have built great sand castles some who have built cool sand sculptures. And it’s a pretty big sand box.
but there is always going to be something going on good or bad it’s a sand box and interactions are going to happen. Someone will do something the other person they don’t like and then it will switch many times over till some kicks another person’s sand castle.
I write blogs all the time then never post them cause someone will view me ripping on them or read what I wrote out of context. Very seldom do we stop pretending we are in the sandbox and act like adult men and women. Stand up and talk out our problems. Talk directly about the wrong doings face to face.
and from time to time people will step up and talk about what’s is going on as in the case of John bell or Cathy and Jo or William Brant. But words without action are just words.
If you truly want the sand box to be better. Then do IT. Too many sit on the fence waiting for the fight to break out. Heck I do it and its me normally being bashed.
I am not looking to change the traffic exchange cause I don’t know how it was 5 -7 -10 years ago. I am looking to be apart of it now and to grow what I am doing. Promote the people and sites I like. And above all. Make some money online.
I don’t have the time to fight with you know who. Or that person. What do I get out of fighting nothing. Nothing at all, 10 min of fame for engaging with someone negativity. That’s is not my way of doing things.
We as people make choices everyday some good some bad. But its how we clean up our messes we make that shows the real content of our hearts.
If you want to change things have conviction in what you say and actions to follow your heart.

Dias Media Works
There has been a huge amount of attention places on a site today. Because that site removed their surf timer.
Opinions going each way have said their part. Loud and clear.
Some people are huge fans others not so much. Breaking this down there is positives and negatives from pretty much all sides. Yes the idea of no surf timer is different.
I can’t remember the site off the top of my head but the icons appeared after the site loaded. That was the timer. (memory is going faster than I would like to admit)
Rate My Splash a traffic exchange with no timer. Its been around for about a year (02-25-2012) the idea was to have people vote on what they think about the webpage on a scale from one to ten. Then they can move on to the next site.
The Major difference this was the pretense of the system – no one took a classic traffic exchange and then removed the timer – Rate my splash was designed from day one not to have a timer and work in any traffic exchange.
Is having no timer new – no
Can removing the timer be innovation – no
Will some member feel screwed over cause what once took them 7 to 12 seconds to earn now can be earned in less than a second- Maybe
this Blog post was just for fun – and remind people how big the traffic exchange industry is if you don’t like something walk away and if you do, use it. But do some homework and make sure that the “new and innovative” it is actually that.
People trying to make changes good or bad have a tough uphill battle. Not everything I have ever done is New or innovative ( what!) but then again I never claimed I invented it or it was new innovative .
Competition is all around us I welcome the site that dropped their surf timer to the world of change but just as a thought you might just want to take care of the people that surfed when there was a timer.

Today is the days when 100’s of thousands of very unlucky turkeys find the dinner table.
but you also start reflecting on the year at this time. I will say this year has had some ups and downs.
I got connected better with some great people in this industry. I am very thankful for that.
I work online full time and have done so for a couple of years now. Again, very thankful for that too.
This business changes. But a lot of the people we know today will grow in this business or move on.
I am thankful for knowing them in the first place.
See business no matter the type and style, online or off, tangible goods or digital services. Well it’s a tough job and to be rewarded you have to work at it all the time.
Its funny cause aside from my family … I am the most thankful I got in the traffic exchange world. The challenges, the people, the friendships, and the ability to be a home business owner. I love making money online.
To everyone in the traffic exchange business, thank you. I am learning every day. And wouldn’t change a thing cause I am very thankful for what I have right now.

Traffic exchanges have been around for a while now. The concept is truly very simple you view mine I will view yours. There are some very important facts to face when marketing in a Traffic exchange no matter what kind. I have put together some very strong ideas to help guide your traffic exchange journey. A sort of do’s and Don’ts if you will*.
DO make or have made amazing graphically appealing splash pages for the rotation of a traffic exchange.
DO use banners whenever you can.
Don’t use a Traffic Exchange for a few days and say “it don’t work.”
Don’t use just one ad ( build 3 or 4 and see which ones preforms better.
DO Track everything – like it or not with out tracking how are you going to know its working at all.
Don’t use only one tracking service use 2 minimum
Don’t quit! the old phrase if at first you don’t succeed try try again ( add the word change it after succeed.)
DO change all the time some things work better than others but you will never know that if you don’t keep trying new things.
Don’t fake anything if you are a new site have fun with it and if you’re a small growing site be proud of that too.
Do talk to the members like humans ( nothing worse than being told I suck cause I don’t surf.)
Don’t forget to assign credits daily weekly and monthly.
Do buy credits from places that are working.
Don’t refer people to every program on the net.
Do refer people to programs that you are using or are upgraded in cause they work for you.
Don’t just blindly follow people.
Do listen to what people are talking about and have to say.
Don’t hide who you are people like the real thing not just the actors.
Do have conviction in what you are doing.
Don’t make the same mistakes over and over ( learn from them the first or second time)
Do fail or make mistakes.
Don’t blame others when you fail.
DO not forget you are hopefully trying to make some money online – Nothing wrong with that.
Don’t think that the other forms of marketing are any less important Banners, mailers, text ads, ect.
Do review what is working and what is not it helps you make amazing corrections to a solid game plan.
Don’t think for one second i don’t have a million more ….
* this is what works for me and serves me well your results and your efforts will vary from day to day and person to person.
above all that break something wreck something and destroy something cause its not only fun but the learning curve is great too.
I ask you add some do’s and Don’ts in the comments Section let the industry know what you have on your mind.
to comment you may need to login using twitter or Facebook cause im still haven’t moved the blog on to my own server.
I am freakishly bad at spelling I don’t know if it’s the fact I don’t want to type slow or if its cause the keyboard seems to shrink every other day.
Organization is also not a strong trait of mine. But this is now my focus. I’m very comfortable being a project hopper but I also waste a lot of time trying to acclimate myself from one project to the next.
Tonight’s Weekly wrap up is going to be on topic with this, but I would love to learn from people in the online marketing world too. I hope to come away with some ideas on how to get my work load and my time on the same page.
Tune in tonight 9 PM est in the Dias Media Works Room its free its fun
Take the time to build your weaknesses in to strengths. Its not easy but its also a great way to improve your most valuable resource – YOU.
I also have some updates for this week too. Have a great weekend and I hope to see you tonight,
and that’s my traffic exchange 2 cents.
